KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 23 (Bernama) — I-Synergy Universal Sdn
Bhd is looking to expand its services overseas through its Affiliate
Junction programme in the next three years.
Its founder/chief executive officer, Lawrence Teo, said the company
was eyeing Indonesia due to its huge population and common language.
“When it comes to online, it is borderless. Firstly, we have our eyes
set to penetrate at least the Asean or South-East Asean market because
there isn’t any other network like this, so we want be the first to
establish this,” he told Bernama here today.
He said the company planned to grow its Malaysian market before it expanded its business to other countries.
The Affiliate Junction programme, launched in 2010, is the leading
network in Malaysia for retailers and affiliates to generate recurring
retail revenue.
It provides a platform and system for retailers and affiliates to
perform affiliate marketing through its web-based tracking and
commission management system.
Teo said the company has invested between RM1.5 million and RM2 million on the information technology used in the programme.
“Affiliate Junction helps provide opporturnities for Malaysians to be entrepreneurs in their own right,” he said.
The MyKad Smart Shopper Programme was designed to leverage on the
Malaysian identity smard card in promoting the local retail industry, he
said.
Teo said by using MyKad as the ‘member card’, registered members
referred by affiliates could enjoy retail privileges at participating
merchant outlets, while the referring affiliates would be incentivised
through the programme system.
He said the programme was started with Windows version and later extended to Android smartphones.
“We are in the midst of developing application for users like where
they can download the application on the mobile phones and check who are
the participating merchants near their locations and outlets,” he said.
He said the application would be ready either by year-end or early next year.
